Sikinou Apartments

Sikinou is an interwar building in Kypseli, a short walk from the lively and lush pedestrian square Fokionos Negri, carefully restored by Molonglo in collaboration with Royffe Flynn Architects.

The ground floor was built in 1922 as a couple’s first home, with the first floor added in 1940 and the second floor in 1960 for their family. It comprises four apartments—a two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor, a three-bedroom apartment on the first floor, and a pair of one-bedroom apartments on the second floor, all with access to a shared rooftop terrace and laundry.

Original details have been carefully restored, including marble finishes, terrazzo and herringbone wooden floors, Art Deco metal detailing, and timber-framed windows with louvred shutters.
