Matrozou Apartments
The interwar-style Matrozou was constructed sensitively over several decades: the basement was built in 1912, the ground and first floor in the 1930s, and the rooftop terrace in the 1980s. It has been refurbished by Molonglo in collaboration with Royffe Flynn Architects.
The building comprises two spacious two-bedroom apartments—one with a rooftop terrace overlooking the neighbourhood, and the other with a sunken garden. Both feature high ceilings decorated with mouldings. The floors are a mix of herringbone oak timber, marble terrazzo and ceramic tiles. Large windows on both sides of the building offer abundant natural light, with traditional shutters to moderate sun and ventilation.
The apartments are available to rent on a long-term basis, for 12 months or more. Make an enquiry here.
