Molonglo

The Cabinet Series was a program that took place throughout the ground floor of Hotel Hotel. Several glass cabinets were co-opted as small exhibition spaces and placed within them were collections of objects curated by Molonglo and others. It was an investigation into the objects that people make, use and hold dear; an archive of stories about who ‘we’ are and what is important to us.

Shows included ‘Rainbow’s End’ by designer Heath Killen; ‘Bread and Honey’ by Italian artist Giorgia Mocilnik, beekeeper Honey Fingers and the European honeybee; and ‘Not Wow’ by Mr Kitly with ceramicist Kirsten Perry, which was made up of a series of totems to mundane moments.
